Chris Walker

Chris Walker spent his summers in Groveland with his  great -grandmother who worked in Groveland and lived in Clermont.  As a teenager, Chris worked in the Orange Groves which he can recall help build his character. Chris is the 2nd oldest of  four brothers . Chris is a Veteran of the US Army  and proudly served as a Medical Specialist in Ft. Jackson, Ft. Sam Houston and Camp Casey in South Korea.

Christopher Walker has been a resident of Groveland since 2003. He has been married for 20 years to Carla Walker and together they are parents of six children who have attended Gray Middle and Southlake High School. Walker has been a community leader over 17 years serving as the Senior Pastor and Founder of Champion's Cathedral Church.

Professionally, Mr. Walker is an Community Leader, Business Owner and a licensed State of Florida Realtor who recently was awarded the Multi-Million Dollar Producer Award 2020 and 2021. Walker has appeared on over 100 television & radio networks and is a  two time Readers Choice Award Winner for his books, “Covenant Under Fire “and his personal story of redemption, "Lemons to Lemonade: Overcoming Your Past & Winning in the Now." A story that shows people can squeeze purpose out of a sour season in their life and succeed when given the opportunity.  Walker is the winner of the prestigious South Lake Black Achievers Award 2015.

He  has served or currently serves the Lake County and Groveland Area in a variety of leadership and contribution roles including:  New Beginnings Homeless Shelter, Stepping Stones Financial Literacy  Program, he has served on the Architectural Review Committee of the Southern Ridge Home Owners Association in Groveland, and is also a Board Member of  Lincoln Park Impact Board and the Faith Neighborhood Center of Groveland.  He is the newly elected 1st Vice-Commander for the American Legion Post 239 for Groveland/Mascotte 2021. Walker has formally worked with Coleman Federal Prison and as a contributor of the Southlake Pregnancy Center.

Chris Walker says, “my philosophy of life is: Become the change you want to see". From a child up, my parents always inspired me to be accountable and always make a difference by helping others. He desires to run for office to “RE-Image” Groveland. The City of Groveland should be a place of innovation and economic growth, and a place where citizens come first. As a leader Walker envisions a city with economic strength, quality clean water, qualified and talented staff and council members with a desire to work hard for residents. 

 

I support our Police Dept, Fire Dept, and our City Manager. And as a Military Vet I support our Veterans and our right to Bear Arms. Unfortunately you won’t hear of my accomplishments from my opponents during this Election but I know you are smarter than a negative Postcard. So vote the "Change you need and the Voice you Deserve."
